Secure payment acceptance

Reduce exposure. Keep checkout usable.

Review hosted checkout, tokenization, staff permissions, and payment security responsibilities with Nock Pay. Build safer card acceptance around your workflow.

Collect only what your business needs

A hosted payment page can let a customer enter payment details directly into a provider’s checkout instead of sending them to your staff. Tokenized tools can support later authorized payments without your business keeping a spreadsheet of card numbers.

Those choices can change your exposure, but the exact product and implementation matter. Nock Pay can review acceptance options alongside the way your team currently receives, stores, and uses payment information.

Security includes the staff workflow

Give employees individual access, limit refund and export permissions, and maintain a process for changing access when roles change. Keep devices supported and investigate unexpected changes to terminals or checkout pages.

For remote orders, define who reviews an unusual transaction and what evidence they need. Security settings should be tested against legitimate customer journeys as well as suspicious orders so staff do not improvise around them.

Know which responsibilities remain yours

PCI SSC advises merchants to work with their acquirer on validation requirements. Features such as tokenization or a validated encryption solution may reduce exposure or scope in a qualifying implementation; they do not remove every merchant obligation.

Ask for the supported configuration, data-flow explanation, and relevant validation documentation. Then test a normal sale, refund, and account-access change. A secure setup should be documented well enough for the team to operate it consistently.

Questions before you switch

Can fraud tools prevent every chargeback?

No. Disputes can involve delivery, refunds, recognition, and other issues as well as fraud. Use appropriate controls and clear customer records without assuming a guaranteed outcome.

Where should we start?

List every place customers provide payment details and identify the software involved. A review can then focus on unnecessary handling and compatible alternatives.
